Anne of Avonlea

May 7 - May 23, 2010
Young Artists Ensemble brings you the final play of their SEASON OF CLASSICS - the unforgettable ANNE OF AVONLEA. All grown up, the freckled, spunky orphan of Green Gables is now Anne Shirley, respected schoolmistress of Avonlea. However, adulthood has not cured Anne of her imaginative spirit. Based on the classic novel by Lucy Maud Montgomery, this charming play continues Anne’s adventures with Marilla Cuthburt, Gilbert Blythe, and “bosom friend” Diana Barry, while introducing audiences to new delightful characters including twins Dora and Davy Keith; Mr. Harrison and his ‘colorful’ parrot; and Miss Lavender Lewis and her captivating maid Charlotta the Fourth. This timeless classic is sure to please every generation.
