ACCV - The Voice of the Arts presents: The Summer Open Show Art Competition

Open to all artists 18 years old+

Each artist may submit up to 2 pieces that are properly wired and framed. No saw tooth hooks. 

Entry Fees: $30 for one piece, $40 for two pieces. 

Categories: Oil/Acrylic, Mixed Media, Watercolor, Graphics, and Photography. 

Prizes will be awarded in each category as follows: $200 for first, $100 for second, and $50 for third. 


Entry Form (See below) must be completed and Artist Release and payment must be submitted online no later than July 2, 2022. 

Take in for the show is July 12, 3-5 pm at Hillcrest Center for the Arts, 403 W. Hillcrest Drive, Thousand Oaks, CA 91360.  Artists will deliver work in person.


The Awards’ Reception for the show is Saturday, August 6, 3-5 pm at Hillcrest Center for the Arts, 403 W. Hillcrest Drive, Thousand Oaks, CA 91360.


NOTE: Take down for the show is 9/13, 2-4 pm.

The ACCV reserves the right to reject any work that is not properly wired or contains unacceptable images. 

Art Quilting Exhibit

The 7 quilt artist on display are all award winning members of Extreme Quilters and all are active quilters. The halls of the Galleria are filled with over 40 colorful and unusual quilt designs. The themes vary from traditional quilts to quilts about ecology and quilts with a humorous twist.


John Johnson and Connie Tunick curated this exhibit and it will be on display through June 27, 2022 with a reception Saturday June 4, 3-5 pm at Hillcrest Center for the Arts.

The Hillcrest Center for the Arts, 403 W. Hillcrest Drive, Thousand Oaks, is located next to the National Parks Service Headquarters. The Hillcrest Center for the Arts and the Arts Council are part of the Conejo Recreation and Park District.

Exhibits are planned far in advance now due to Covid restrictions. These exhibits allow an artists to submit up to six digital images of professional quality for consideration for virtual and future exhibits. The final decision of what artwork will be displayed is determined by the ACCV Galleria Curators.
